Marco came to live with us on September 14, 2008 right after the NAWRA
Nationals.
I picked out the biggest black boy in the litter, and it looks like he will stay
true to
his puppy size. From 8 weeks to 4 months Marco loves to go out in the field
and pretend he is a racing with the wind. This game had developed into some
training and now I ride the quad to keep up with the little guy. He has the
same features
as his sire Nacho, and if we are lucky he will have his speed too. Marco has made his racing debut on July 26th, 2009. 2010 has started out with a bang for Marco. His first NOTRA he earned from his second place spot 3 ORC Points and 1 National Point, then the following week out of over 50 whippets entered he place 2nd again for 4 more ORC points and 2 National Points. Seems he was the only black whippet in a sea of tan kids to finish in the top 6. Not far to go now for that coveted title of Oval Race Champion. Marco tied for 1st place with his brother Kelp on Sat, giving him the points needed to finish. Yeh!!!!! Marco.
